The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you finally made the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean more quality to the paintings, am i right?.
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

i hope you've all had a wonderful restful or eventful easter
crammed with as much chocolate as your tummy's can handle.
[i have eaten far too much. and will now not wish to see anymore till next easter!]

i recently joined a writing community called indieink, and i have just received my first prompt.
i think its chosen at random, and each person provides a prompt that someone else will have to write from.
i must admit, i was quite excited to get the email notification but the prompt turned out to be thoroughly disappointing.
here it is lovelies, the prompt i get to work from: "Tanuki have giant, furry balls, and they're always touching themselves--right outside the store!"

needless to say, i am stumped. especially when these are the other prompts people got [link]. guess i'll try again next week.

this month is also national poetry writing month, how many of you are giving it a go?
i am, and so far nothing has really been too brilliant as i am a raging ball of hormones
wanting to punch the majority of people i've met this week.
the pretentiousness of the hipster douches are getting to me and the dj who fucked over my night
on thursday was a perfect example of why the music scene is dying.
but i digress.

my cat is beside me, and i love him.
cats are infinitely better than people. as i've never been left behind
from my cat, and he can't write facebook statuses that are clearly
aimed at me, but no names are mentions and are dripping with cowardice.
good work guys, i clearly have no friends.

i had a very eventful easter, and not in a good way.
one of my friends attempted suicide twice and now she's in a psych hospital. i worry for her.

I didn't know it's national poetry writing month. I will have to try write something poetic soon since I've been in a rambling, completely unpoetic phase lately.

I have to agree with you that I would much prefer to spend time with my cat or dog than with most people. I don't tolerate people very well :/
